An estimated 0.10 to 0.20 inches of freezing rain accumulation caused treacherous and icy road conditions, some tree damage and sporadic power outages during the period.

Warmer, moist air moving across a shallow layer of cold air at the surface produced fairly widespread freezing rain for portions of west and central Upper Michigan from the 22nd into the 23rd. The freezing rain resulted in treacherous and icy road conditions, tree and power line damage and power outages.
