Wider weather episode

A longwave trough over the center of the country pushed a weak cold front through the Lower Texas Coastal Waters the morning of May 25th. As the cold front pushed south, it strengthened due to more available energy over the region. This lead to several Marine Thunderstorm Wind gusts in excess of 34 knots or 39 mph. The strongest Marine Thunderstorm Wind was 61 knots, or 70 mph, at the SPI Brazos Santiago Station.
