Snowfall of 8 to 16 inches, along with winds gusting 50 to 60 mph, occurred over the northeast Big Horn Mountains.

Wider weather episode

A powerful upper low moved across Wyoming into the Dakotas which resulted in heavy, mountain snowfall. In addition, very strong winds occurred across the northeast Big Horn Mountains.
