Haines Customs Cooperative Observer reported 10 inches of snow in a 24 hour period, with most of it falling overnight.

Wider weather episode

A low pressure system moved into the Northeast Gulf of Alaska from the south with an associated front lifting northward across the Inner Channels of the Alaskan Panhandle on March 21st. An entrenched cold air mass clung to Upper Lynn Canal early on to support widespread moderate to heavy snow across the region through the 22nd of March.
