Snow totals up to 4.5 inches fell across Smith County. CoCoRaHS station Carthage 8.7 NNE measured 4.5 inches of snow, CoCoRaHS station Carthage 2.8 WSW measured 3.8 inches of snow, and CoCoRaHS station Elmwood 4.5 NNE measured 3.5 inches of snow.

The wider storm

A late season snow event affected all of Middle Tennessee from the evening hours on March 11 into the morning hours on March 12. Snow totals ranged from 1 to 7 inches across the area, with the highest amounts on the Cumberland Plateau.
