Up to three inches of snow fell across eastern Preston County between the afternoon of April 18th to the morning of April 19th.

A low pressure system strengthened over the the Great Lakes, aligning with a coupled jet. Promising lift and cold air aloft created periods of heavy snow in mostly across the higher elevations of northern West Virginia and along I-80.
