2022-04-09 · Clinch, Georgia

35 EG
Magnitude

Event narrative

The public reported that the metal roof panels were torn off of the overhang of an industrial building south of Homerville, GA.

Wider weather episode

Dry cold front over the area moved eastward into the Atlantic waters while high pressure was over the Gulf of Mexico. This tightened the pressure gradient over the area and sunny skies helped to mix down stronger winds to the surface. A Wind Advisory was in effect for northeast FL and southeast GA in order to account for stronger non-convective wind gusts ranging from 40-60 mph.
