A severe thunderstorm producing winds estimated near 60 mph knocked down trees and large limbs onto wires near Selinsgrove.
Wider weather episode
A loosely organized QLCS crossed the southern half of Pennsylvania during the late morning and early afternoon of May 27, 2022. Extensive cloudiness over eastern Pennsylvania only allowed for limited destabilization. However, there was moderately strong low-level shear and a low LCL, and embedded broken-S signatures and associated microcirculations were observed within this QLCS. Sporadic straight-line wind damage was observed, along with a few brief tornadoes.
