High westerly winds occurred across the Coachella Valley on April 11th and 12th. Wind gusts of 45 to 55 mph were common across the area, with some localized higher gusts. An SCE site in the Lucerne Valley (SCE262) recorded a peak wind gust of 67 mph at 8:20 PM on the 11th.
