The entire zone remained in Severe(D2) drought through April. The Mountain Park Cooperative Observer reported no precipitation which was 0.59 inches below normal.

Wider weather episode

No precipitation fell in April for almost all the area which lead to an expansion of Severe

(D2) to Exceptional(D4) drought conditions.
