Heavy rainfall led to excessive runoff into the East Branch Delaware River below the Pepacton Reservoir. The stream gage located near Harvard, NY reached a crest of 12.76 feet on April 8th at 2:30 PM. This is considered to be moderate flooding. Several roads were closed in the area of the stream gage, including NY SR 30.
Wider weather episode
Low pressure tracked through the Northeast bringing periods of heavy rain to central New York, particularly the Upper Delaware river basin. This resulted in minor to moderate flooding of the headwater tributaries.
