Event narrative

Very heavy early-spring snow fell across the North Cascades, bringing a total of about 50 inches of new snow to the Mount Baker Ski Resort from April 3-5. Snow began during the very late evening hours of the 3rd and picked up intensity throughout the day on April 4th and 5th before finally tapering off.

Wider weather episode

A strong early-spring storm system affected Western Washington, bringing very heavy snow to the Washington Cascades.
