Event narrative

Strong downslope winds on the lee-side of the Presidential Range of the White Mountains brought gusty southerly winds to the Lancaster/Littleton region of Coos County. Numerous reports of downed trees and branches along with power lines were reported in this area.

Wider weather episode

A strong low level jet ahead of an approaching cold front brought locally gusty enhanced downslope southerly winds to the Lancaster and Littleton Region. Numerous trees were reported down along with power outages with gusts around 50 mph reported. The damage was concentrated in the area on the lee side of the high peaks of the Presidential Range.
