Strong synoptic ascent combined with orographic lift along the Northern Rocky Mountain Front associated with a slow moving trough helped to focus a band of moderate to heavy snow, leading to significant snowfall accumulations across eastern portions of Glacier National Park. Additional snow fell over the Little Belts, as snow levels fell significantly over the area.
