A severe thunderstorm producing winds estimated near 70 mph knocked down trees at the Buttonwood Campground near Mexico, PA.

The wider storm

A north-south stationary boundary bisected central Pennsylvania ahead of a cold front approaching from the Great Lakes on June 16, 2022. A broken line of showers and thunderstorms formed along a lake-breeze front that developed over northwestern Pennsylvania, just ahead of the approaching cold front. As this line progressed southeastward, one of the cells within the line became a long-track supercell that produced a swath of wind damage and hail from Warren County southeastward to the Lower Susquehanna Valley.

Began near Mexico (40.5343, -77.3552).
