Golf ball sized-hail accumulated 2 miles west-southwest of Bayfield. The accumulation was estimated to be 1.5 inches deep.

The presence of monsoon moisture paired with the passing of a trough aloft led to widespread showers and thunderstorms across western Colorado. Several storms produced heavy rain. Additionally, severe thunderstorms produced large hail and strong winds in across some areas.
