The South Carolina Department of Transportation reported a tree down along South Carolina Route 125 near the Barnwell County border.

Strong heating under a ridge of high pressure set up an environment with large mixed layer convective available potential energy, large downdraft convective available potential energy, and strong low-level lapse rates supportive of damaging winds as upstream thunderstorms entered portions of southeast South Carolina.
