A personal weather station recorded a peak gust of 40 mph from a passing thunderstorm just SSE of Marblehead.

Lake Erie and northern OH were within the warm sector during the afternoon and early evening of the 6th as a surface low drifted eastward from central Lake Michigan to central Lower MI. A stationary front extended eastward from the low to Lake Ontario, while the trailing cold front drifted southeastward from southern Lake Michigan toward southern Lower MI and northern IN. Multicell thunderstorms generated an isolated gale-force peak wind gust near Marblehead as the line of storms evolved generally eastward along the northwest OH shore during the early evening of the 6th. These storms occurred within a warm sector comprised of moderate to strong effective bulk shear, moderate MUCAPE, and weak to moderate DCAPE.
