Trained spotter reported one inch hail with the severe storm that moved through the Fort Lyon area.
Wider weather episode
Severe thunderstorms developed across the eastern plains late in the day and into the evening time frame. These storms were isolated and remained in Bent and Prowers Counties, with large hail and wind gusts up to around 65 MPH occurring with the strongest storms.
