Mud, trees, and rocks flowed through a normally dry arroyo near the Lunch Loops trailhead as a result of heavy rainfall upstream.

Ample monsoon moisture paired with the aided support aloft from a passing shortwave resulted in scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms across western Colorado. Some storms produced heavy rain which led to a localized debris flow in Mesa County.
