Volusia County Ocean Rescue reported that a 57-year-old woman was injured after being caught in a rip current at Daytona Beach Shores at approximately 1240LST. The woman was caught in the rip current while trying to get back to shore and became submerged under the water. Beach safety officials rescued the unresponsive woman from the surf, and performed life-saving measures. The woman was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
