An area of low pressure tracking along a nearly stationary frontal boundary extending from the Ozarks into the Ohio River Valley brought several clusters of strong to severe thunderstorms to southeast Illinois during the afternoon and evening of May 19th. One storm dropped quarter-sized hail west of Hardinville in Crawford County, while other cells produced wind gusts of around 60mph and minor wind damage across portions of Effingham and Lawrence Counties.
