Event narrative

Peak wind gust of 46 mph at Mahlon Sweet Field (KEUG) at 1353 PST. Gusty winds developed during the afternoon with gusts mostly in the 25-35 mph range. Winds subsided in the evening. Eugene Public Utility District reported about 1600 customers without electrical power in the Pleasant Hill, Dexter, Cottage Grove and Cloverdale areas. A couple reports of trees blown over in Springfield.

Wider weather episode

Low pressure developed offshore and moved across the central Willamette Valley, bringing windy conditions and some wind damage to the south and central Willamette valley.
