Georgia DOT reported tree debris was blown down and blocking all lanes of state road 110 at Godley avenue. the time of the event was based on radar data.

Wider weather episode

A persistent upper level ridge west of the region started to break down and retrograde with steep mid level lapse rates around 8-9 degC/km. A remnant MCS tracked across the periphery of the weakening ridge west of the area with associated cold pools enhancing convergence over elevated low and mid level instability. These convective ingredients produced strong to severe storms across SE GA in the late afternoon and evening hours.
