What F2 means. This tornado was rated on Fujita’s original scale, used until 2007. F2 meant considerable damage: roofs torn off well-built houses, mobile homes destroyed, large trees snapped or uprooted; the scale paired it with winds of 113–157 mph, figures later judged too high, especially toward the top of the scale, and revised downward in the Enhanced Fujita scale. Ratings then, as now, came from the damage.

What the National Weather Service wrote

A tornado touched and completely leveled a two-story, 2,500 square-foot wood-frame house, along Georgia Highway 22. The tornado moved northwest and destroyed 3 broiler houses, 2 chicken houses and killed 30,000 chickens approximately 0.25 mile from the leveled home. Several pecan trees were uprooted before the tornado lifted and dissipated. Most of the tornado damage occurred during the first 0.25 mile of its path. Total property damage was estimated at $700,000.
