F1 Tornado — Walton, Georgia

Event narrative
A tornado touched down along Georgia Highway 81 and damaged at four businesses, tore the steeple of Bold Springs Baptist Church and downed several trees and power lines. At least four homes were heavily damaged and a couple of trailers were severely damaged. Damage to homes was missing roofs or smashed windows. Residents of the damaged homes heard the sound of a loud train as the tornado passed overhead. Nine injuries were reported due to wind blown or toppled debris from damaged homes. Two chicken houses were destroyed and three others moderately damaged by the tornadic winds.
