Wider weather episode

A trough hot on the heels of an upper ridge resulted in moist southwesterly flow across the region. Approaching trough created a weak surface low in the vicinity, which resulted in better surface moisture being advected in from the east. A front provided a source of lift for thunderstorms on this day.
