The tornado started two miles east-southeast of Neshoba and traveled northeast and crossed into Kemper county, 5 miles west of Cleveland. The tornado was on the ground a short time in Kemper county and lifted three miles west-northwest of Cleveland. Numerous trees were blown down or snapped off along the path. Three houses, two mobile homes, and a Masonic Lodge were destroyed. Nine other dwellings sustained major damage and 26 sustained minor damage. Damage estimates were placed at $1 million.
