Extreme to exceptional drought over the county improved to severe due to rainfall during the last week of the month.

Wider weather episode

Some beneficial rainfall occurred over portions of the Brush Country and Coastal Bend during the last week of the month. Drought conditions improved over these regions. But most of south Texas received well below normal rainfall with drought conditions worsening over the northern Coastal Bend and western Victoria Crossroads.
