Severe to extreme drought worsened during the month with exceptional drought over most of the county by the end of the month.

Wider weather episode

Some beneficial rainfall occurred over portions of the Brush Country and Coastal Bend during the last week of the month. Drought conditions improved over these regions. But most of south Texas received well below normal rainfall with drought conditions worsening over the northern Coastal Bend and western Victoria Crossroads.
