Event narrative
Quarter sized hail falling at time of report.
Wider weather episode
Non severe thunderstorms were ongoing on the morning of June 11th. Spotty showers continued through the day but for the most part the morning activity cleared out and instability increased into the afternoon. Storms strengthened in the late afternoon across Nebraska and into central and southern Iowa. Thanks to lingering cloud cover, a cap put a damper on more robust storm development, however one storm in Greene county was able to quickly strengthen and produce large hail over 2 inches in diameter.
