A weak surface low and boundary moved across a marginally unstable air mass across New York and Vermont during the afternoon and early evening of July 28th. Several thunderstorms developed across New York and moved into Vermont and continued to develop. Many of these storms contained heavy rain and lightning with two isolated storms that produced marginal wind damage to trees.
