A surface trough moved across the area Monday afternoon, July 11th. Ample wind shear of 30-40 knots, combined with 1500 J/kg of CAPE, caused a few storms to develop across west central Wisconsin. Some hail and gust winds occurred with the strongest storms, one of which caused a wind gust of 67 mph at the KEAU airport.
