Several trees were downed on and near lookout mountain: Scenic Hwy, Wooten drive, Phillips Lane, Creek Rd, and Sarah Chapel Rd.

Wider weather episode

A strong cold front pushed through the area during prime heating hours during the afternoon of May 6th. This frontal passage in combination with high levels of instability along the front produced widespread wind damage reports across portions of central Georgia.
