Supercell thunderstorms continually formed across western Erath County and spread eastward over the remainder of the county. These storms moved over the same areas continually producing multiple large hail reports, downburst winds, and two tornadoes. Heavy rains ,of over 4 inches occurred in some areas. County-wide hail damage was placed at over 1,238,000 dollars, nearly all of which was caused by hail.
