Emergency manager reported quarter size hail in the Pleasant Gardens area.
Wider weather episode
Scattered thunderstorms developed over western North Carolina during the afternoon and moved southeast. Some of the storms organized into small clusters. Several of the clusters and individual cells produced large hail and damaging wind gusts.
