The entire zone remained in Severe(D2) drought through the entire month.
The wider storm
An early onset to the Southwest Monsoon brought above normal precipitation to the area, especially mountain locations where some areas received over 2 inches more precipitation than normal. Exceptional(D4) drought conditions were removed from all areas of southern New Mexico.
