A gust to 41 knots was recorded by the PNGW3 GLOS station at the Port Wing harbor.
Wider weather episode
An area of thunderstorms develop during the afternoon hours of the 10th in association with a warm front moving into the region. While the main area of storms did not move directly over western Lake Superior, the stratiform rain on the backside of the storms did mix down a few strong wind gusts to the surface. The strongest recorded gust was 47 mph at the Port Wing harbor.
