The KTCS ASOS reported a peak gust of 62 mph.

The dryline brought deeper moisture back into areas east of the Rio Grande Valley. A deep upper low was located over the Baja peninsula and an upper level disturbance lifting north out of it helped to trigger several severe thunderstorms over South Central New Mexico producing hail up to the size of quarters and 74 mph wind gusts.
