A severe thunderstorm producing wind estimated near 60 mph knocked down trees onto wires near Muncy Valley.

Two rounds of convection impacted Pennsylvania on July 24, 2022. The first round of convection involved a cluster of storms that pushed across the northern mountains (along and north of I-80) during the afternoon hours, producing sporadic wind damage. The second round of convection was in the form of a line of thunderstorms just ahead of a cold front approaching northwestern Pennsylvania from the Great Lakes during the late evening of July 24 into the early morning hours of July 25. This second round of convection produced sporadic wind damage across northwestern Pennsylvania before weakening as it progressed southeastward overnight.
