Highway 130 was closed due to widespread flash flooding west of Weed.

Wider weather episode

Deep monsoonal moisture remained across the region just ahead of an upper trough moving across the southern Rockies. Storms developed off the eastern slopes of the Sacramento Mountains with some isolated areas receiving heavy rain which caused flash flooding along Highway 130.
