Hot high temperatures 5 degrees above normal near 105 occurred on June 22 and 23, causing the Moderate Heat Risk category to be reached. The Pima County Medical Examiner confirmed that heat was the primary cause of death for two individuals found in the desert; one southeast of Topawa on the 22nd and another north of Santa Rosa on the 23rd.

Hot temperatures 5 to 10 degrees above normal were experienced in the western two thirds of Pima County on June 22 and 23. The Pima County Medical Examiner confirmed that heat was the primary cause of death for three individuals found in the desert, one in western Pima County and two on the Tohono O'odham Nation.
