A severe thunderstorm outflow winds downed trees and wires in Saint George, Maine.
Wider weather episode
An upper level area of low pressure approached from the northwest during the afternoon of June 17th along with a surface cold front. The surface cold front triggered a line of showers and storms as it approached southwest Maine and the Mid-coast. A few storms in the line brought gusty damaging winds.
