A tree fell on a residence along Cherry Street.

A complex of showers and thunderstorms moved across central North Carolina during the late afternoon and evening. The line produced numerous damaging wind gusts along with marginally severe hail. One fatality occurred as the line moved through Franklin County, as a tree fell on and killed a person who was outside.
