A shortwave trough rotated over the northern Great Lakes on 6/28, helping to support a cluster of thunderstorms that initiated across the eastern upper peninsula of Michigan during the afternoon. These storms passed over Paradise, where they produced 0.75 hail stones just before moving over Whitefish Bay.
