The wider storm

A few strong storms initiated over far northeast lower Michigan near Saginaw Bay and the Lake Huron shoreline during the early evening hours of 7/23. One of these storms ended up tracking over East Tawas, producing a 41 mph wind gust at the TAWM4 mesonet station as it moved over the nearshore waters of the lake.

Began near Tawas Point (44.2500, -83.4500).
