Event narrative

Roofing material was torn off multiple buildings between Lake Park and Audubon between 715 and 720 pm CDT. Numerous large tree branches were blown down, and a few trees uprooted.

Wider weather episode

Severe thunderstorms formed during the afternoon, moving across the southern and central portions of the Red River Valley, then into west-central and northwest Minnesota. Wind gusts to 85 mph were reported, along with 2 tornadoes, and numerous other reports of hail and high wind damage.
