Corning-Elmira Region Airport ASOS measured wind gust.

A shortwave trough was the main feature out of a few disturbances that triggered a line of thunderstorms that passed through Central New York. These storms had damaging wind gusts and knocked down numerous trees across the region. Some trees and debris landed on vehicles or structures. There were also a couple reports of fires started from downed wires.
