Event narrative

Thunderstorm winds caused widespread wind damage across Tipton. Numerous trees and tree limbs, as well as power lines were blown down. Some of the fallen trees and tree limbs caused damage to vehicles and houses. Also, four utility poles were blown down.

Wider weather episode

A short wave moved east along a stationary front that was along the I-70 corridor. Some of the storms produced damaging winds.
