Persistent wall cloud, with brief funnel and large and dusty ground swirl reported over an open field. Tornado lasted less than a minute and was viewed from near Pekin. Peak winds estimated to 75 mph. Maximum width to 100 yards.

Wider weather episode

Two rounds of severe thunderstorms produced large hail and gusty winds across the northern Red River Valley and into northwest Minnesota. Hail up to 2.75 inches was reported.
